0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rodef Canmelianenko! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Inemko misses with a low kick.

Vladmir Inemko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodef Canmelianenko. Canmelianenko working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Inemko has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Canmelianenko regains guard immediately. Inemko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Inemko passes easily into side control. Nice work. Inemko has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Canmelianenko has managed to clinch.

It looks like Rodef Canmelianenko has been cut. Canmelianenko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Inemko tries to avoid it but Canmelianenko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Inemko to the ground. Inemko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Canmelianenko shoots in for a takedown but Inemko shows good takedown defense. Inemko forces Canmelianenko back against the cage and clinches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Inemko has picked Canmelianenko up - he's going for a ride! Inemko dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Canmelianenko is looking for a sweep. Inemko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Canmelianenko actively working from the bottom here. Inemko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Canmelianenko on the ground. Canmelianenko looks gassed! Inemko is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Inemko working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Canmelianenko wants to control but Inemko is keeping busy and won't allow it. Canmelianenko gets full guard. Canmelianenko is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Inemko connects with a nice short shot to Canmelianenko's temple. Canmelianenko is looking to control Inemko's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Canmelianenko avoid being mounted? The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Inemko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Canmelianenko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Inemko prevents Canmelianenko from improving his position. Inemko stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Canmelianenko to get to his feet. Inemko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Canmelianenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Inemko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Canmelianenko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Inemko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Canmelianenko is tightening it up a little... Inemko has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Inemko reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Inemko taps out! nice BJJ there by Canmelianenko!
