Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Masatacu Oyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fair Child (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oyama's entrance music is Masutatsu Oyama 10 DAN. A fine choice. Fair Child will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Masatacu Oyama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fair Child!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oyama throws a head kick but Child moves out of range.
Child works Oyama's body with a nice hook.
Child swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Child shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Oyama sprawls well. Oyama wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Child gets slowly back to his feet.
Child looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Child is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Child drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Child jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Child drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Child seems to have locked his on tight now - Oyama screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Child, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Fair Child!
Fair Child very nearly forgot to thank Balco Boys - Hilo amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
