Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darwin France (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Qwanchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Qwanchi! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Qwanchi enables France to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Qwanchi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. France forces his way into half guard. France trying to pass the guard but Qwanchi defending well. France looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Qwanchi is trying to stand.
France stands up from half guard. Qwanchi closes the distance but France moves to the side and France counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Qwanchi! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. France is trying to take his opponent's back.
France is standing up, even though he is in mount. France shoots in and gets a takedown into Qwanchi's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. France gets to his feet. Qwanchi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Qwanchi stuffs the takedown. France really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. France shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Qwanchi as he jumps to the side. France shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Qwanchi but Qwanchi pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darwin France. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Qwanchi is fighting to maintain full guard but France has managed to sneak the leg through. France stands up out of the half guard. France looks for a takedown but Qwanchi sprawls well.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Qwanchi is breathing heavily. France decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. France shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

France is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! France is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Qwanchi can do to turn this around? France tries to score a power double leg takedown but Qwanchi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten France somewhat. Qwanchi wants to clinch but France slips to the side and France decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Qwanchi's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. France gets to his feet - Qwanchi follows without any prompting. France looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Qwanchi is fending him off so far but France persists. Nope, Qwanchi circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darwin France. That's going to take a lot out of him. Qwanchi stuffs the takedown attempt from France. France gets slowly back to his feet. Qwanchi tries to clinch but fails miserably so France counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. France sitting in guard, not really doing much. France stands up from guard. Let's bang! France shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Qwanchi is trying to defend but France finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
