Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brett Heart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flipper Baby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brett Heart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Flipper Baby!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heart takes a kick to the side of the head.

Heart shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Heart was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Heart prevents Baby from getting the reversal.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Heart controlling the pace for now.
Baby is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Baby is wriggling around trying to escape.
Heart controlling the position easily from mount.
Baby really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Baby wants to try and get back to his feet.
Heart prevents Baby from getting the reversal.
Baby is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Heart controlling from the full mount.
Baby is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Heart turns him over and now has his back.
Heart trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Baby doesn't escape.
Heart really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Baby trying to control the hands but Heart won't let him.
Good control from Heart.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brett Heart dominated that round.
That's time! Heart's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


No luck with that takedown attempt from Heart.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Heart feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Heart's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brett Heart wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Heart avoids the head kick by Baby.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Baby explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Crunch! Baby slams his shin into Heart's torso.
Baby pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Heart back to the cage. Baby follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Heart has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Baby wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Heart shoots for a double leg takedown but Baby sprawls well. He's pushed Heart's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Baby swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Heart changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Baby tries to avoid it but Heart manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Baby to the ground. Baby escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brett Heart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Baby looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Baby lands with a kick to the temple. Heart shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A punch combination from Baby misses.
Heart fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Baby closes the distance and lands a one-two.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Flipper Baby will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Heart's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Baby throws a right hand that Heart ducks under and follows up with a left that Heart also avoids with ease.
Heart sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Brett Heart is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Baby lands a front kick.
Heart fails with the takedown
and Heart takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sloppy strikes from Baby. Those never looked like landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baby pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Heart throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baby's waist but Baby gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Heart off to one side.

Heart blocks a head kick by Baby.
Baby fails to land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Baby misses with a two punch combination.
Heart looks for a takedown but Baby sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brett Heart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Baby lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Baby feints a jab promting Heart to slip. Baby then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Heart slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Good standup being displayed there by Baby as he connects with a hook.
Baby misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Baby tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Baby misses with a few strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Baby throws a series of punches but Heart moves out of range.
Baby misses with a wild combination.
Baby takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Heart shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nice sprawl there from Baby as Heart shoots in.

And that's the end of the fight!
Flipper Baby comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Baby has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
