Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steffan Bonnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Jansus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steffan Bonnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shane Jansus! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jansus with a poor takedown and Bonnar counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jansus tries to pull guard but Bonnar forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Bonnar wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bonnar turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Bonnar controls the position. Bonnar stands up and beckons Jansus to his feet. Jansus fails in his attempt to clinch. Bonnar slaps away a takedown attempt from Jansus, before circling back to the center of the mat. Steffan Bonnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Jansus. Bonnar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jansus's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bonnar throws a strike but Jansus rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jansus trying to control the position from guard on top but Bonnar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jansus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jansus trying to control but Bonnar is working from the bottom. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bonnar holds on and takes a little breather. Bonnar avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bonnar is controlling Jansus's posture.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bonnar looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jansus is looking for a triangle but Bonnar pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bonnar stands up from Jansus's guard - Bonnar perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jansus misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. No joy there for Jansus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jansus throws a right hand that Bonnar ducks under and follows up with a left that Bonnar also avoids with ease. The fighters circling - Jansus throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jansus misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bonnar crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jansus - the referee stops the clock and Bonnar gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jansus. Bonnar manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Shane Jansus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bonnar moves into the clinch. Bonnar lands a takedown into guard.
Jansus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bonnar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bonnar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jansus looks gassed! Bonnar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bonnar works over Jansus with some ground and pound from guard. Bonnar slips nicely into half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jansus is trying to stand.
Bonnar not doing much here.
Bonnar is working for a kimura but Jansus is defending it quite comfortably.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bonnar seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Bonnar with the ground and pound but Jansus uses the opportunity to regain guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bonnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jansus swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jansus isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bonnar stacks Jansus on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bonnar! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steffan Bonnar dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jansus slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Bonnar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Jansus is looking for a triangle but Bonnar pushes his legs off easily.
Bonnar stays in close to Jansus's body and controls the position. Bonnar stopping the sweep attempt from Jansus. Bonnar stands up and waves to Jansus to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bonnar tries to land a leg kick but Jansus saw it coming and moves away.

Jansus with a lazy takedown attempt and Bonnar counters with a takedown into side control. Bonnar in side control lands a decent elbow. You can see the frustration on Jansus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jansus is breathing heavily. Bonnar stands up. Jansus misses with a takedown and Bonnar counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bonnar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bonnar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bonnar decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jansus, up you get! Bonnar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Jansus is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jansus wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Bonnar taking a breather here. Bonnar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Bonnar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bonnar stands up and beckons Jansus to his feet. Jansus tries to clinch up but Bonnar circles away and keeps his distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A slapping body kick lands there for Jansus. Jansus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bonnar tries to avoid it but Jansus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bonnar to the ground. Bonnar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Steffan Bonnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Jansus. Bonnar blocks a head kick by Jansus.
Bonnar scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jansus in his tracks. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bonnar drives through with a takedown into guard. Jansus is working an open guard so Bonnar takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Bonnar closes the distance and clinches. Bonnar has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jansus uses from the top position. Bonnar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jansus looking to sit in guard and control but Bonnar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bonnar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jansus can do to turn this around? The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bonnar gets to his feet - Jansus follows without any prompting. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steffan Bonnar dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Horrible takedown by Jansus or perhaps it was just good defense by Bonnar which made him look bad. Bonnar scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Jansus wants to control but Bonnar is keeping busy.
Bonnar stalling. Bonnar looks to land a strike but Jansus avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Jansus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bonnar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jansus takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bonnar landing with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bonnar looking to pass the guard. Bonnar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jansus utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jansus wants to sweep but no luck. Steffan Bonnar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bonnar sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bonnar seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jansus for as long as he can get away with.
Steffan Bonnar has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Jansus looks to land a combination but Bonnar avoids it well. Jansus misses with a kick to the body.
Nice body punch from Bonnar. Jansus takes a shot right to the bread basket. Bonnar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bonnar advances to half guard. Bonnar not doing much here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bonnar frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bonnar has isolated one of Jansus's arms. Jansus looking to fight him off but Bonnar twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
