Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zeki Ata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mal Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ata comes to the cage accompanied by E.S. Posthumus - Unstoppable . Mal Reynolds will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Zeki Ata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mal Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ata throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A good leg kick by Ata.
Ata gets the takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Reynolds is trying to escape the position but Ata is controlling the position.
Ata throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Reynolds stops Ata from passing to mount.
Ata lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Ata is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Reynolds is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reynolds is trying to escape the position but Ata is controlling the position.

Ata wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reynolds keeps working.
Ata throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Reynolds wants to get back to his feet but Ata drags him back down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ata looks up at the clock and then as Reynolds takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ata smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Ata in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Reynolds prevents Ata from moving into mount.
Ata is working Reynolds over with some ground and pound from side control.
Ata trying to control the action but Reynolds is working from the bottom.

Ata throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Ata throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Reynolds tries to buck Ata off but Ata is having none of it.
Reynolds is not content to let Ata control the position.
Ata has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ata remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Ata's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Reynolds takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ata shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ata showed some decent athleticism there.

Ata seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reynolds does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Reynolds really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ata. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reynolds wants to hold on but Ata pushes him away.

Ata seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Reynolds for as long as he can get away with.

Ata swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Reynolds is now in Ata's guard. A big mistake from Ata there, giving up the dominant position!
Ata lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Reynolds!
Ata fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Reynolds wants to try and get back to his feet.
Ata is landing with some decent strikes but Reynolds is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Ata's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Reynolds checks a leg kick.
Reynolds tries to work over Ata's front leg with a kick but Ata checks it.
Reynolds swings widly with a right hand
and Ata counters with a body kick that stops Reynolds in his tracks momentarily.
Ata shoots in for a takedown but Reynolds shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ata throws a low kick but Reynolds moves out of range easily.
Reynolds tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ata takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ata throws a body kick that misses.
Reynolds lands a high kick!
It looks like Zeki Ata has been cut.
Reynolds chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ata can pounce on him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ata scores with a leg kick.
Ata dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Reynolds. That did some damage!
Ata fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Reynolds.
Ata stuns Reynolds with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Ata's jab looks to have found its range, popping Reynolds under the eye.
Ata thows a leg kick but Reynolds checks it
and Reynolds counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ata.
Ata bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Reynolds's head backwards.
A head kick misses from Reynolds.
Ata swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ata ducks under a wild hook from Reynolds.
Reynolds cracks the inside of Ata's front leg.

Reynolds throws a leg kick but Ata moved away.
Reynolds thows a left - swing and a miss!

Reynolds checks a low kick from Ata.
Reynolds misses with an attempted mid kick.
A slow jab from Ata misses its intended target.
Mal Reynolds has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reynolds misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ata blocks a jab.

and Ata decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reynolds's guard.
Reynolds takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ata is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ata trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ata not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

We're going to have a standup here because Zeki Ata wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Reynolds ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ata moves away.
Ata feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Reynoldss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Ata walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Reynolds checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A nice inside leg kick there by Reynolds. That's going to slow Ata down.
Zeki Ata is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ata closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Reynolds did well to prevent Ata getting side control.
Ata takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Reynolds is trying to get back to full guard.

Zeki Ata showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Ata has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
