Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Blatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Clarke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blatt comes into the arena with you're going down- sick puppies blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Blatt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leo Clarke! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clarke throws a shot from downtown. Blatt moves away and avoids it. Clarke will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nice defenses there by Blatt. Blatt walks into a left hand. Clarke shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Clarke throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Blatt is looking for a sweep. Clarke is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Blatt is refusing to be controlled, as Clarke sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Clarke connects with a nice short shot to Blatt's temple. Clarke stands up and beckons Blatt to join him on the feet. Blatt throws a hook but Clarke blocks it. Clarke fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Leo Clarke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Clarke lands with a good body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blatt takes one to the chin there. A lazy left from Blatt finds it's target. A shot to the liver by Blatt. Beautiful body shot. Blatt loads up on a big right hand but Clarke slips the punch. Blatt connects with a nice looking jab.
Blatt throws a jab but it's blocked by Clarke. Blatt wants to clinch up but Clarke keeps it at a distance. Blatt misses the shot to the body. Clarke takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Clarke fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Blatt is out of range. Blatt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Clarke counters with a lovely straight right hand! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Clarke throws a body punch but Blatt moves out of range. Blatt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Clarke moves away. Clarke scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Clarke scores with a crisp jab that stopped Blatt in his tracks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blatt darts in and clinches Clarke up against the cage. Clarke trying to control the position but instead, Blatt has worked for underhooks and has pushed Clarke into the cage. Blatt content to slow the pace in the clinch.
A body shot lands from Blatt.
Blatt lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Clarke backwards. Blatt is trying to force a seperation but Clarke has the dominant position. Blatt lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Clarke has Blatt pressed against the cage, preventing Blatt from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Blatt drops down looking for an ankle pick but Clarke pulls his leg out and moves away.
Blatt throws a shot from downtown. Clarke moves away and avoids it. Blatt closes the distance and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blatt tries to throw a body punch but Clarke avoids it by throwing Blatt back against the cage. Clarke with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Clarke misses with a short punch on the inside. Blatt struggles to land a body shot inside as Clarke controls his hands.
Blatt is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Clarke to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Blatt. That's going to take a lot out of him. Clarke pulls Blatt into guard.
Clarke has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Blatt trying to control but Clarke is working from the bottom. Blatt wants to pass the guard but Clarke is keeping the position. Clarke has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Blatt wants to pass the guard but Clarke is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clarke controls Blatt momentarily but Blatt frees himself. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Clarke rushes Blatt and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Blatt tries for a takedown but Clarke manages to get underhooks.

Still in the clinch, Blatt scores with a nice short uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Blatt pushes Clarke back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Clarke working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Clarke lands with a short head shot on the inside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jeff Blatt will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Clarke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blatt pinned against the cage. Blatt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
It looks like Jeff Blatt has been cut. Blatt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Clarke on his heels. He'll look to pass Clarke's guard now, I'm sure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Clarke looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Clarke is trying to control the position but Blatt postures up. Clarke wants to improve his position but instead Blatt has moved into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Blatt looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Blatt prevents Clarke from improving his position. Clarke is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Clarke makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Clarke. Clarke keeping full guard, as Blatt tries to pass. Clarke bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blatt's guard. Clarke wants to pass the guard but Blatt is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clarke working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Clarke postures up in Blatt's guard and throws a big left but Blatt blocks it. Clarke preventing the sweep. Clarke tries to free his leg and advance position but Blatt is retaining full guard. Clarke passes Blatt's left leg - he's now in half guard. Clarke throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Clarke gets to his feet - back to striking we go! This has been an exciting period of action! Blatt misses with a body shot.
Jeff Blatt is winning the standup battle so far. Blatt dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Clarke is looking to clinch but Blatt is avoiding it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Blatt misses the jab. Clarke throws a leg kick and Blatt counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Donk. Blatt catches Clarke right on the button with a cross. Clarke misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Blatt makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Clarke looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Clarke is breathing heavily. Clarke is thwarting Blatt's attempts to control the position. Clarke thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Clarke is just content to waste time from the top position. Blatt takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Blatt has an active guard here but Clarke has managed to pass into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blatt is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Clarke's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Clarke's back! Clarke turns into Blatt and is now in his guard.

Blatt moves forwards but Clarke connects with a nice, crisp jab. Clarke cracks Blatt with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Clarke stuffs a takedown. Clarke stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Blatt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blatt wants it to stay on the feet. Clarke takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A looping hook to the body misses from Clarke. Blatt does a little dance to reset his feet. Clarke throws a shot from downtown. Blatt moves away and avoids it. Blatt slips a jab from Clarke. Blatt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Blatt shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Clarke on the wrong end of a nice jab. Clarke cracks Blatt with an open hand slap. Blatt throws a right and a left that Clarke avoids nicely. Blatt closes the distance and clinches up with Clarke, looking for a takedown. Blatt pushes Clarke against the cage but Clarke circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Blatt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Clarke looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Blatt misses with a jab, cross combination.
Clarke shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Clarke working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Clarke trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Blatt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Clarke is one step ahead there. Clarke trying to control the position from guard on top but Blatt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Blatt working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Clarke. Clarke throws a strike but Blatt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clarke keeping full guard, as Blatt tries to pass. Clarke lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blatt! Clarke with a couple of short strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Blatt is squirming around, avoiding Clarke's attempts to control the action. Clarke jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Blatt is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Blatt and Clarke has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Clarke wants to control but Blatt is keeping him busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Leo Clarke comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Clarke has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
