Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kane Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dance Monkey -Sage Francis. Kane Alexander could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Matt Hunter's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kane Alexander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matt Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hunter in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Hunter tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Alexander is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hunter is controlling him well.
Hunter slows the pace down.

That's one minute gone in the round.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Matt Hunter was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Alexander fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Alexander misses with a head kick.
Alexander bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hunter's head.
Alexander misses with a wild combination.
Alexander scores with a jab to the head.


Hunter is rocked!
Alexander throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hunter.
A combination from Alexander does no damage.

Hunter shoots in and bounces Alexander off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hunter controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Hunter might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Matt Hunter was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Good leg kick by Alexander there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Alexander tries a head kick but it misses.
Hunter steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Alexander. That one must have hurt.
Alexander throws a sloppy head kick and Hunter moves out of range easily.
Alexander throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hunter.
A head kick misses from Alexander.
Alexander misses with a few strikes there.
Alexander looks to land a body kick but Hunter moved away.
A head kick misses from Alexander.
Alexander is breathing heavily.
A good leg kick by Alexander.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alexander thows a body shot but no joy.

Hunter closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Alexander quickly recovers to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hunter with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Matt Hunter will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Hunter shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hunter missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Hunter works his way into side control.
Alexander prevents Hunter from moving into mount.
Alexander knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hunter on the ground.

Hunter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hunter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The referee asks Hunter politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hunter prefers to stall for the moment though.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hunter is working to tighten is grip on Alexander's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Alexander has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hunter is really squeezing tight and eventually Alexander passes out! Hunter breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Matt Hunter!
