Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Neil Patrick Stinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carolus Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rex comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sabaton - Carolus Rex kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Neil Patrick Stinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carolus Rex! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice leg kick lands there from Stinson. Rex clinches. Stinson manages to break the clinch.
Stinson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rex, pushing him back against the cage. Rex wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Stinson has him pressed against the cage. A bit of stalling here from Stinson.
Stinson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stinson scores with a head kick. Rex tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Stinson lands the left hand. Rex works the jab nicely. Rex misses the shot to the body. Neil Patrick Stinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A looping hook to the body misses from Rex. Stinson does a little dance to reset his feet. Stinson is looking to clinch but Rex is avoiding it.

Rex has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Stinson. Nice body kick there by Stinson. Stinson lands with a slapping head kick. Stinson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rex throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stinson. Rex circles away from the clinch attempt.

A combination from Rex does no damage. Stinson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stinson looks to land a left hand but Rex moved out of range nicely. Neil Patrick Stinson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rex takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Stinson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Stinson has Rex pushed against the cage. Rex wants to get back to striking at distance but Stinson won't allow it.

Stinson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Some bone on bone action there as Rex checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stinson scores with a spinning back kick! Stinson is looking to slow Rex down with leg kicks. Stinson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Stinson misses with a head kick.
Stinson is breathing heavily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rex lands a head shot. Rex moves out of range of the body kick. Stinson tries to clinch up. Stinson takes a swing at Rex's ribcage but misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rex's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Stinson scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Stinson fakes the leg kick and cracks Rex in the body. Rex shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stinson but Stinson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Stinson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Stinson clinches with his opponent.

Rex walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Stinson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Stinson throws a sloppy head kick and Rex moves out of range easily. Rex misses with a series of wild punches.
The fight moves into the clinch position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stinson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rex steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Stinson. That one must have hurt. Stinson swinging wildly here.

and Rex counters with a series of strikes. Stinson will be more careful next time no doubt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stinson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Both fighters circling a little - Stinson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Stinson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Rex shoots for a takedown but Stinson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Neil Patrick Stinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carolus Rex. Rex uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stinson. Stinson misses with a two punch combination.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. and Rex counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Stinson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stinson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stinson throws the kick towards the body but Rex avoids it. Rex throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rex scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Stinson lands with a kick to the temple. Rex shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Rex shoots in looking for a takedown but Stinson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rex's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rex on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Stinson. Stinson obviously looking to wear him down.

and Rex counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rex. Rex trying to control the position from guard on top but Stinson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rex trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rex is pushing down on Stinson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Stinson is fighting to maintain full guard but Rex has managed to sneak the leg through. Rex is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rex is trying to work for a kimura but Stinson is defending well.

Rex moves into full mount! Stinson won't be happy about that! Rex prevents Stinson from getting the reversal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rex with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Rex is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rex is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Stinson is surviving well by controlling Rex's body position as best he can. Stinson is working to get back to half guard.
Carolus Rex has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Neil Patrick Stinson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stinson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Rex.
And that's the end of the fight! Carolus Rex comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Stinson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
