Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toby Kensmith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Louis Georgelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kensmith comes to the cage accompanied by ATB - Justify (Club Mix). Georgelin has chosen Estiva - Strawberry fields (Original mix) as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kensmith lands a head kick. Georgelin smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Kensmith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kensmith throws a sloppy head kick and Georgelin moves out of range easily.
Kensmith shoots in for a takedown but Georgelin shows good takedown defense.

Georgelin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kensmith paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Georgelin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kensmith - the referee stops the clock and Georgelin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kensmith. Georgelin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Georgelin moves in looking to clinch but Kensmith pushes him off.
Kensmith lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Georgelin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kensmith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kensmith is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Georgelin is surviving well by controlling Kensmith's body position as best he can.
Georgelin is working to get back to half guard.
Kensmith has control of Georgelin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Georgelin regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kensmith with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Georgelin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kensmith is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Georgelin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kensmith's back instead.
Georgelin is trying to stick to Kensmith's back but Kensmith is turning into Georgelin. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Georgelin's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kensmith.
Kensmith stands and throws Georgelin's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kensmith tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kensmith has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kensmith swats away the attempt to clinch by Georgelin.
Georgelin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Georgelin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Georgelin is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Georgelin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Georgelin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kensmith defends it well.
