Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Albert Craddock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dam Kogus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kogus comes into a darkened arena with his song building. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJfJbPj-51o kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dam Kogus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Albert Craddock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Dam Kogus!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craddock blocks a low kick nicely.
Craddock slaps away a takedown attempt from Kogus, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Craddock really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Craddock drives through and clinches with Kogus against the cage.
Kogus is trying to pull guard but Craddock turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Kogus has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Craddock is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Albert Craddock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dam Kogus.

Craddock breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Craddock feints and then cracks Kogus's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kogus down.

Kogus shoots in for a takedown but Craddock shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Craddock throws a leg kick which misses Kogus's front leg but catches the back leg as Kogus tries to avoid it.
Craddock fakes the leg kick and cracks Kogus in the body.
Kogus tries to clinch there but Craddock circles away.

Kogus needs to keep his hands up - Craddock had a free shot at his head there.

Craddock thumps Kogus with a low kick.
Craddock throws a leg kick which misses Kogus's front leg but catches the back leg as Kogus tries to avoid it.
Kogus tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kogus takes a kick to the side of the head.

Craddock instigates a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Craddock breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kogus.
Kogus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Craddock as he jumps to the side.

Kogus closes this distance looking for a takedown but Craddock circles away.
Kogus's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Kogus takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Craddock will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Craddock keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Kogus closes this distance looking for a takedown but Craddock circles away.

and Craddock counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kogus is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Kogus is trying to pull guard but Craddock has him pressed against the cage.
Kogus is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Craddock pulls him back up using the underhooks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Craddock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kogus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Craddock tries to avoid it but Kogus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Craddock to the ground. Craddock escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Craddock is looking to slow Kogus down with leg kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Craddock displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kogus.
Kogus has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Craddock.
Craddock stalks Kogus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kogus's face. Kogus staggers backwards, shaken.
Kogus takes a kick to the side of the head.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kogus crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Craddock - the referee stops the clock and Kogus gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Craddock. Kogus manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
