Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Krzysztof Trampolina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drago Solovyov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Drago Solovyov! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Solovyov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Trampolina manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Solovyov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Solovyov doesn't manage to clinch there - Trampolina circles away.

Solovyov lands with an overhand left. Trampolina shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Solovyov sprawls well. Solovyov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Trampolina gets slowly back to his feet. Trampolina fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Trampolina keeps the fight on the outside. Trampolina drops down looking for an ankle pick but Solovyov pulls his leg out and moves away.

Trampolina shoots for a double leg takedown but Solovyov sprawls well. He's pushed Trampolina's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Trampolina is breathing heavily. Solovyov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Solovyov throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Solovyov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Solovyov throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Solovyov pushes Trampolina up against the cage in a clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Trampolina lands a takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Solovyov wants to stand up but Trampolina is controlling him. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Solovyov tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trampolina drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Trampolina jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Trampolina is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Solovyov looking for a sweep. Not yet Solovyov, not yet. Solovyov seems keen to control Trampolina's posture. Trampolina trying to control the position from guard on top but Solovyov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Solovyov pulls Trampolina in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Drago Solovyov was stalling too much, according to the referee. Trampolina takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Solovyov wants to clinch but Trampolina slips to the side and Trampolina counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Solovyov! Trampolina wants to control the pace but Solovyov is squirming around nicely. Solovyov really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Solovyov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Solovyov can do anything to dispel that myth. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Trampolina has hold of Solovyov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Solovyov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Solovyov has given up his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trampolina not allowing Solovyov to control his hands. Solovyov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Trampolina kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Trampolina looking for the choke from the back. I really don't envy Solovyov right now.
Trampolina working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Solovyov really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Trampolina's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Trampolina tightening his grip on Solovyov, looking for the choke. Solovyov trying to control the hands but Trampolina breaks the grip. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Krzysztof Trampolina will probably get the nod. That's time! Trampolina's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Solovyov scores with a one two! Trampolina had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Trampolina takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Trampolina misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Solovyov tries to clinch but Trampolina is having none of it. Solovyov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Solovyov wants it to stay on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Trampolina. No, Solovyov has managed to free his arm - good work. Trampolina wants to lay and pray for a moment but Solovyov keeps working. Trampolina is thwarting Solovyov's attempts to control the position. Trampolina is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Solovyov defends it well. Krzysztof Trampolina overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Solovyov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trampolina. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Trampolina trying to mount his opponent but Solovyov defends it. Solovyov pushes Trampolina off looking to stand but Trampolina dives back in and keeps control.
