Jerome comes to the cage accompanied by Dance with the Devil-Immortal Technique. Goncalo Alves will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Alves tries to land knees in the clinch but Jerome avoids the damage to the body.
Jerome working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Alves tries for a takedown but Jerome manages to get underhooks.
Alves tries to stall but Jerome uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Alves unloads a knee to the mid-section. Jerome lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Jerome lands a hook that snaps the head of Alves backwards.

Alves tries to score a body lock takedown but Jerome shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Al Jerome has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Goncalo Alves.
Alves is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Alves drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jerome gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Alves's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Jerome lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Alves to his knees! Jerome keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
