Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luke Cage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Tatum! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tatum takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Cage throws a nice looking combination but Tatum bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Donk. Cage catches Tatum right on the button with a cross. Cage shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tatum manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Cage stopping the sweep attempt from Tatum. Cage trying to control but Tatum is working from the bottom. Tatum striking off his back. Tatum looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Cage trying to control but Tatum is working from the bottom. Tatum working for a triangle but Cage defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatum manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tatum throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Tatum lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Tatum jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cage manages to avoid the submission attempt. Cage gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Cage desperately trying to maintain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatum is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cage sees it coming and defends easily. Tatum throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Cage to regain full guard. Tatum with a flurry of punches that miss. Cage lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tatum! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Cage trying to control but he's not successful this time. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cage landing strikes from the mount and Tatum is in trouble!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tatum gets back to half guard. Tatum wants to get back to full guard. Tatum is defending against the submission attempts here by Cage.
Tatum tries to get to full guard but Cage has control of the leg. Tatum looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Tatum avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cage. Cage wants to take a breather but Tatum is having none of it. Tatum moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tatum had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cage defends it easily. Tatum has his feet on Cage's thighs here. He's pushed Cage off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Cage screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
