Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Nero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Spat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Spat has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raphael Nero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Spat! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nero fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Spat avoids it really well and circles away. Nero throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Spat connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nero misses with a two punch combination.
Nero scores with the left hand. Spat knows he should have avoided that one. Horrible takedown by Nero or perhaps it was just good defense by Spat which made him look bad. A punch combination from Nero misses. Spat tries to move into range but Nero moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spat misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nero misses with an uppercut. Spat saw that one coming. Spat swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Nero connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nero throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Spat throws a right and a left that Nero avoids nicely. Nero ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spat moves away. A punch combination from Spat misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nero is defended easily by Spat. Nero misses with a double jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spat throws a big shot that misses. Spat takes a shot right to the bread basket. Nero throws a right hand that misses
and Spat counters with a good, hard body kick but Nero shrugs it off. Spat throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nero tries to clinch up but Spat circles away and keeps his distance. Jack Spat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nero shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Nero trying to mount his opponent but Spat defends it. Spat wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spat keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Nero is working for a kimura but Spat is defending it quite comfortably.
Nero throwing shots but Spat is blocking nicely. Nero seems to be looking for submissions.
Spat is trying to stand.
Nero trying to pass the guard but Spat defending well. Spat keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Nero is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nero is trying to control. Spat wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Spat looks like he's trying to stand up.
Nero thows a huge punch but Spat dodges it nicely.
Nero is trying to control the action in half guard but Spat is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nero working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Nero working over Spat with some ground and pound. Spat looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spat is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nero is pressing down on Spat's thigh, looking to free his foot. Spat is holding on for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nero wants to control but Spat is keeping him busy. Spat gets full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raphael Nero dominated that round. That's time! Nero's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nero fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nero blocks a head kick by Spat.
Nero shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spat has hold of Nero's hands but Nero slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Nero is trying to work for a kimura but Spat is defending well.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Nero here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Nero is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nero thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Spat's head. Spat has a hand on Nero's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Nero takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Spat is desperately trying to improve his position but Nero has a good base and remains in mount. Spat is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Spat is squirming around, avoiding Nero's attempts to control the action. Nero lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Spat hang on? Spat is bucking up trying to escape but Nero cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Spat can't escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nero fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nero controlling the pace for now. Nero landing punches. Nero has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Spat's face.
Nero looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Nero is in the full mount, landing strikes. Spat tries to hold on but Nero pushes him away. Nero is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Spat to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Spat shrugs it off. Nero postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Spat looks a forlorn figure.
Nero has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nero with shots to the head and body - Spat looks very uncomfortable down there.
Spat is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whack. That's a big, big shot from Nero! Spat is out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Raphael Nero! A very excited looking Raphael Nero rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
