Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Henki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Pasca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pasca has chosen mama said knock you out as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stephan Henki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Pasca! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henki walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Henki tries to sprawl but Pasca drives through with a takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Pasca is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Henki is just riding it out for now. Pasca eventually gives up the hold. Henki works his way to full guard. Good work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pasca avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pasca thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pasca is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pasca drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Henki manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pasca has Henki in his guard. Pasca keeping moving, preventing Henki from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pasca working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Henki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pasca really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Henki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Henki slips nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henki is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Henki is working for a kimura but Pasca is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pasca is not content to let Henki control the position. Henki missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Henki wants to control but Pasca is keeping him busy. Pasca gets full guard. Pasca looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Henki passes into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pasca can do anything to dispel that myth. Henki wants to pass the guard but Pasca is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Stephan Henki will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pasca shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Henki is trying to escape the mount.
Pasca has hold of Henki's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Henki manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Henki is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pasca is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Henki is surviving well by controlling Pasca's body position as best he can. Pasca has control of Henki's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Henki regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Henki gets back to half guard. Henki won't allow Pasca to pass to mount. Henki looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Henki manages to get to full guard.
Stephan Henki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pasca drops back looking for a leg! Henki is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Henki manages to kick Pasca off! Pasca jumps back into Henki's guard. Henki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Henki throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pasca kicks Henki off and gets back to his feet. Henki tries to sprawl but Pasca drives through with a takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Henki tries to roll over but Pasca keeps him under control. Pasca is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pasca is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Henki is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Henki has escaped and now he's on top! Henki throwing strikes but missing. Pasca looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Henki postures up in Pasca's guard and throws a big left but Pasca blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henki wants to pass the guard but Pasca is keeping the position. Henki is looking to work some ground and pound but Pasca has wrist control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Henki throws an elbow that misses. Pasca uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Henki's guard. Nice move by Pasca! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but John Pasca will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Henki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pasca is refusing to be controlled, as Henki sits in half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pasca wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henki thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Henki uses his free foot to push down on Pasca's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pasca. Henki trying to control but Pasca is having none of it. Henki manages to capitalize on a mistake by Pasca to take his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pasca covering up well under a series of strikes from Henki. Henki trying to control. Pasca fending off the submission attempt from Henki. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Henki's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pasca rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stephan Henki has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Pasca gets in close and instigates a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Henki gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pasca regains guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Stephan Henki showed his dominance in that final round. I think Henki has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
