Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gary Bunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Strife (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bunn's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Go to Sleep - Eminem. Strife has chosen Sure Shot -by- The Beastie Boys as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Bunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Strife! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bunn throws a leg kick but Strife sees it coming and checks it nicely. Strife darts in trying to clinch and Bunn counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Bunn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Strife's guard. Bunn controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bunn landing with the ground and pound. Strife is adopting a defensive guard. Bunn controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bunn looking to sit in guard and control but Strife gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Strife really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bunn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bunn pulls Strife in close to his closed guard and prevents Strife from doing any damage or advancing position. Bunn trying to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gary Bunn wasn't doing enough on the ground. Bunn moves away from the strike by Strife. Bunn bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bunn connects with a good right hand that stumbles Strife. Strife circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Strife misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bunn takes a swing at Strife's ribcage but misses. John Strife seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bunn avoids a punch combination nicely.

Strife tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bunn paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bunn tries a low kick but Strife avoids it. Bunn avoids a lazy jab quite easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Strife looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Strife pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bunn throws a leg kick which misses Strife's front leg but catches the back leg as Strife tries to avoid it. Strife throws a body punch but Bunn moves out of range. Bunn swings for the body but Strife moves out of range.
Bunn shoots in looking for a takedown but Strife manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bunn's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. John Strife is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bunn lands a high kick!
Bunn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Strife. Bunn connects with a leg kick. Strife looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Strife tries to bum rush Bunn with a series of wild strikes but Bunn uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Strife misses with a combination
and Bunn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bunn thumps Strife with a low kick. Bunn keeps the fight on the outside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bunn throws a low kick but Strife moves out of range easily. Strife is looking to clinch but Bunn is avoiding it.
Bunn throws a looping overhand right but Strife ducks down to avoid it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Strife drives through and clinches with Bunn against the cage.

Bunn lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Strife with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bunn working some nice short punches in the clinch. Bunn taking a breather. Strife tries a body shot but Bunn blocks it.

Strife throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Strife fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bunn manages to avoid it. Bunn lands a nice shot that snaps Strife's head back.

Strife is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Strife with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

A chopping leg kick lands by Bunn. Gary Bunn is winning the standup battle so far. Bunn misses with a leg kick. Strife tries to close the distance and clinch but Bunn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Strife closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Bunn wants to stall.

Bunn needs to keep his hands up - Strife had a free shot at his head there. Bunn finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Strife misses with a left hand and Bunn finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. John Strife is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bunn lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Strife wants to clinch up but Bunn keeps it at a distance. Bunn throws a sloppy head kick and Strife moves out of range easily. Strife uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bunn. Bunn fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Strife misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Strife looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bunn swats away the attempt to clinch by Strife. Strife keeps Bunn at a distance using the push kick. Bunn fails in his attempt to clinch. A nice leg kick lands there from Bunn. Strife ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bunn moves away. Strife throws a looping overhand right but Bunn ducks down to avoid it. Strife moves out of range as Bunn strikes. Bunn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Strife swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Strife takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Strife misses with a wild combination.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gary Bunn will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Strife scores with the left hand. Bunn knows he should have avoided that one. Bunn throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Bunn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Strife.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Strife hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Strife misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A good leg kick by Bunn. Bunn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Strife sprawls well. Strife wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bunn gets slowly back to his feet. Strife lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bunn circles away quickly and effectively. Strife takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. John Strife has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Strife tries to clinch but Bunn moves out of range. Bunn bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Strife's head backwards. Strife moves in looking to clinch but Bunn pushes him off. Bunn takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Strife throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bunn stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strife is looking to clinch but Bunn is avoiding it.

Bunn ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Gary Bunn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bunn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Strife is being controlled here. Bunn throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Strife works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strife looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bunn not doing much here.
