Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erno Noland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell has chosen George Straits- The Fireman as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erno Noland! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Liddell! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Liddell. No joy for Noland on that attempt. Liddell takes one to the chin there. Liddell has closed the distance and engaged Noland in a clinch.
Liddell goes for a takedown attempt but Noland pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Noland is working for takedown but Liddell is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erno Noland. That's going to take a lot out of him. Noland tries a body shot but Liddell blocks it.
Liddell is trying to trip Noland. He has hold of a leg but Noland is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Liddell persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Liddell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Liddell wants to control from the top but Noland keeps moving. Noland trying to keep a closed guard but Liddell is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell trying to control the position from guard on top but Noland is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Liddell is in close to Noland's body, working some short punches and elbows. Noland trying to keep a closed guard but Liddell is proving a slippery customer.
Liddell looking to pass the guard. Liddell thows a big elbow that misses. Liddell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Noland. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Noland tries a head kick but it misses.
Noland shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liddell pinned against the cage. Liddell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dan Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Noland keeps the fight on the outside. Noland throws a head kick but Liddell moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Noland shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Noland takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Noland is breathing heavily. Noland shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Liddell moves into the clinch. Liddell has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Noland avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Liddell drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Liddell turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Liddell manages to end up in side control. The ground and pound from Liddell seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Liddell decides to stand back up. Liddell steps back and let's Noland get back to his feet. Liddell misses with a jab, cross combination.
Noland shoots and misses and Liddell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Noland is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Liddell manages to pull guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell tries to land a sweep but no joy. Liddell isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Noland stacks Liddell on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Noland! Noland is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Liddell has escaped the position, nice work there. Noland stands up and we're back to a striking position. Dan Liddell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Noland throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Liddell looks to land a combination. Noland sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A big right from Liddell misses. Noland tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Liddell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Liddell. Noland wants a takedown but no success here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Noland lands a takedown into guard.
Noland wants to control from the top but Liddell keeps moving. Noland postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Liddell keeping busy on the bottom but Noland has passed one foot through into half guard.
Liddell is looking to improve his position.
Noland is keen to just control but Liddell is a slippery customer. Liddell moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Noland passes easily into side control. Nice work. Noland looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Liddell dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Liddell closes the distance and clinches. Liddell keeps control of Noland as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Noland is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Stalling in the clinch from Liddell.

Liddell lands a couple of digs. Noland preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Noland wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Liddell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Liddell throws and elbow that misses. Noland uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Liddell's guard. Nice move by Noland! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Liddell not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Liddell tries to free his leg and advance position but Noland is retaining full guard. Noland controls Liddell momentarily but Liddell frees himself. Liddell is looking to work some ground and pound but Noland has wrist control. Liddell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Noland is trying to control the position but Liddell postures up. Liddell throwing strikes but missing. Noland scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Noland looks to clinch and Liddell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Liddell. Noland drops down looking for an ankle pick but Liddell pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Noland will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Noland looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Liddell is fending him off so far but Noland persists. Nope, Liddell circles away and we're back to standing. Noland doesn't manage to clinch there - Liddell circles away.

Liddell sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Noland doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Liddell paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Noland - great work!
