Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Tuthill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Redones!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Redones closes the distance and pushes Tuthill back into the cage.
Redones is pressed up against the cage. Tuthill has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Redones down to the mat. Redones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tuthill shoots in but no luck this time.
Tuthill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Redones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tuthill somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Tuthill. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Redones looks for a takedown but Tuthill sprawls well.
Redones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tuthill.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Redones, as that shot connected.
Redones moves in looking to clinch but Tuthill pushes him off.
Tuthill shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Redones but Redones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Redones swings for the body but Tuthill moves out of range.
Redones tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Tuthill counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Redones!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Redones wants to hold on but Tuthill pushes him away.

Redones is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Tuthill is staying active.
Tuthill controlling the pace for now.
Tuthill avoids the attempt from Redones to control.
Tuthill tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Tuthill working for a guillotine from mount but Redones is in no mood to give up.
Tuthill sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Redones wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Tuthill.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Redones is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Tuthill breaks from Redones's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Tuthill postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Redones looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tuthill cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Redones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Tuthill content just to control the position here.
Redones is looking to improve his position but Tuthill isn't that keen on the idea.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tuthill with shots to the head and body - Redones looks very uncomfortable down there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tuthill avoids the attempt from Redones to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Tuthill's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Tuthill shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Redones pinned against the cage. Redones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tuthill misses with a takedown attempt - Redones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Tuthill closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Redones's guard.

Tuthill takes a knee to the side of the body.

Tuthill dives in and grabs Redones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Redones pushes down on Tuthill's head and hops out.

Tuthill has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Redones regains guard immediately.

Tuthill drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Redones dives on top into guard.

Redones might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tuthill kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Jimmy Redones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Redones fails with a takedown attempt.
Chris Tuthill is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tuthill.
Redones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tuthill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Redones tries to bum rush Tuthill with a series of wild strikes but Tuthill uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Tuthill shoots for a double leg takedown but Redones sprawls well. He's pushed Tuthill's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tuthill will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Redones turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Tuthill gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tuthill closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Redones to the mat! Redones manages to get full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Tuthill will probably get the nod.

Redones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Tuthill shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Redones napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Redones pushes Tuthill away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tuthill gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jimmy Redones decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
