Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Russell Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jasan Corino! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corino misses with a body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Corino. Those never looked like landing. Corino moves into the clinch successfully.
Corino stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Jones is looking to break free of the clinch but Corino has double underhooks. A frustrated look appears on Corino's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jones has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Corino clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Jones thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Jones is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Corino has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Corino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Corino wants to get back to his feet. Jones has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Corino! Can he survive? No! He's out! Jones gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
