Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Bleezy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Scherswaski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Scherswaski will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Bleezy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Scherswaski! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bleezy just misses with a punch to the body.
Bleezy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bleezy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bleezy lands in his opponent's guard. Bleezy is looking to stand up but Scherswaski won't let him. Scherswaski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bleezy defends well. Scherswaski has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Bleezy's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bleezy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scherswaski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bleezy has managed to get both his arms back between Scherswaski's legs - danger averted. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bleezy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Scherswaski, up you get!
That's one minute gone in the round. Scherswaski missing with a left hand there. Bleezy was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bleezy moves out of range of the strikes. Bleezy looks for the body kick but Scherswaski saw that one coming. Bleezy darts in and clinches Scherswaski up against the cage. Bleezy is struggling to control the position. Scherswaski has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bleezy after a bit of a struggle. Scherswaski managing to block the knees to the body from Bleezy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bleezy throws a hook to the side of Scherswaski's head but Scherswaski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bleezy thows a left - swing and a miss! Bleezy misses with the combination.
A big left from Bleezy misses. Scherswaski looking to score a takedown here. Bleezy is defending well but Scherswaski drives through and ends up in Bleezy's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bleezy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Scherswaski stacks Bleezy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Scherswaski! That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee asks Scherswaski politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Scherswaski prefers to stall for the moment though. Bleezy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bleezy tries to get back to half guard but can't. Scherswaski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bleezy is just riding it out for now. Scherswaski eventually gives up the hold. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jay Bleezy. Bleezy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bleezy throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bleezy misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Scherswaski regains half guard. Scherswaski is pressing down on Bleezy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Bleezy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Scherswaski wants to control but Bleezy postures up. Bleezy stands up and beckons Scherswaski to his feet. Scherswaski gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bleezy to score an easy takedown into full guard. Bleezy has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Scherswaski is proving hard to escape from.

He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Scherswaski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bleezy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jay Bleezy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bleezy is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Scherswaski is fighting the takedown attempt but Bleezy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Bleezy tries to free his leg and advance position but Scherswaski is retaining full guard.
