Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Burnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Steven Burnett was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rock Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Burnett! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burnett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Burnett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Burnett closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lee circles away. Burnett shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lee as he avoids it easily. Rock Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Burnett. Burnett looks for a takedown but Lee sprawls well. Lee clinches up with Burnett and pushes him back against the cage. Burnett wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Burnett wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lee has him pressed against the cage. Lee lands an elbow just above Burnett 's eye. Burnett is trying to break the clinch but Lee is controlling him. Lee can't get the takedown.
Lee turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lee manages to end up in side control. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Burnett being controlled for a moment. Lee is looking to take a break and control but Burnett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. This has been an exciting period of action! Burnett sneaks out the side door and pushes Lee away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burnett looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lee is fending him off so far but Burnett persists. Nope, Lee circles away and we're back to standing. Burnett shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Burnett gets slowly back to his feet. Burnett looks gassed! Lee tries to clinch but Burnett is having none of it. Burnett is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lee sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lee is looking to clinch. Steven Burnett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burnett shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed Burnett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Burnett shoots in looking for a takedown but Lee manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Burnett's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lee darts in and clinches Burnett up against the cage. Stalling in the clinch from Lee.
Burnett is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lee jumps guard and drags Burnett to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Lee pulls Burnett in close to his closed guard and prevents Burnett from doing any damage or advancing position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Burnett! Burnett blocking the ground and pound. Burnett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Burnett defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Lee. Lee thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Lee sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Lee is working for a guillotine from mount but Burnett frees his head quite easily.

Lee has control of Burnett's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Burnett regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Lee lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rock Lee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. You get the feeling that Burnett really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Burnett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Burnett wants to stand but Lee is controlling his posture from full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lee holds on and takes a little breather.
