Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ted Taviano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenardo Gonzalezz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ted Taviano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Glenardo Gonzalezz! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Steve Smith.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalezz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Taviano shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gonzalezz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Taviano working a defensive guard here.
Taviano might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gonzalezz passes into half guard. Taviano is trying to get back to full guard.
Gonzalezz is looking for a kimura but Taviano is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gonzalezz to get the leverage.
Taviano is defending against the submission attempts here by Gonzalezz.

Gonzalezz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Taviano is just riding it out for now. Gonzalezz eventually gives up the hold.

Taviano tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Taviano trying to hold on to Gonzalezz's head to control him but Gonzalezz postures up.
Gonzalezz wants to work for an arm triangle but Taviano is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Taviano wants to improve his position but Gonzalezz is controlling well.
Taviano is breathing heavily. Gonzalezz trying to mount his opponent but Taviano defends it. Taviano is trying to get back to full guard.
Gonzalezz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Taviano doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gonzalezz. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Taviano is pressing down on Gonzalezz's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Gonzalezz drops back looking for a leg! Taviano is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Taviano manages to kick Gonzalezz off! Gonzalezz jumps back into Taviano's guard.
Gonzalezz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Taviano trying to strike off his back.
Gonzalezz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gonzalezz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Gonzalezz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Taviano trying to control the position.
Gonzalezz passes Taviano's left leg - he's now in half guard. Taviano wants to control but Gonzalezz is keeping busy.

Gonzalezz is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Taviano has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing.
Gonzalezz has hold of Taviano's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Taviano manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gonzalezz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Taviano manages to avoid the submission attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Taviano regains half guard. Gonzalezz works his foot free and advances to mount.
