Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chras Watsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franko Snith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chras Watsky looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chras Watsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Franko Snith!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watsky avoids a kick to the body.
Snith moves out of range as Watsky strikes.
Watsky avoids the head kick by Snith.

Snith shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Watsky's guard.
Watsky wants to stand and escape but Snith is having none of it.

Snith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Snith stands and steps away. Watsky gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Watsky fails in his attempt to clinch.
Watsky doesn't manage to clinch there - Snith circles away.
Snith walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Snith throws a sloppy head kick and Watsky moves out of range easily.

Snith changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Watsky looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Snith takes a little break here. Watsky wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Snith stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Watsky closes the distance but Snith moves to the side

and Snith counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Snith.
Snith prevents Watsky from getting back to his feet.
Watsky is breathing heavily.
Snith working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Snith stands and throws Watsky's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Snith is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Watsky dodges the ground and pound from Snith.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Watsky seems a little lost for a moment, as Snith dominates the positioning.
Watsky parries the strikes from Snith easily there. Snith is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Watsky to escape.
Snith advances to mount.

Snith is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Snith lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Snith.
Snith shoots for a takedown but Watsky saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Snith shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Snith was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Snith controlling the pace for now.
Watsky on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Watsky tries to get out of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Snith might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Snith is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Snith!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Franko Snith!
