Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ip Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shelton Harrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man comes into the arena with blaring out of the sound system. Harrell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. J. Cole - Blow Up kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ip Man had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Harrell. Man does a little dance to reset his feet.

Man is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Harrell.

Man throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Harrell sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Man shoots in for a takedown but Harrell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Harrell fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Man has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Man with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Harrell to score with a decent uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters circling - Man throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Harrell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ip Man will probably get the nod.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Man lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Harrell has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Harrell and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
