Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Currie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chino Bandito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Currie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Helmet - Just Another Victim. Bandito is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Slayer - Hell Awaits. Chino Bandito acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Currie, right into the meat.
Currie tries a head kick but it misses.
Currie misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bandito.
Nice takedown defense from Bandito. No joy for Currie on that attempt.
Currie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Currie checks a leg kick.

Bandito breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bandito throws a solid leg kick but Currie takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bandito.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bandito.
Currie lands a really nice looking cross but Bandito seems unphased.
Currie stuns Bandito with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bandito lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Currie has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Currie and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Bandito fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Currie on the side of the head.
Currie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bandito moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Currie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bandito is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Currie, into his guard.
