Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Loco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howard comes to the cage accompanied by My Block. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Loco sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Loco gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Howard to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Howard throws an elbow that misses. Loco uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Howard's guard. Nice move by Loco!
Loco trying to control but Howard is working from the bottom.
Loco postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Loco decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

so Loco counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Loco wants to control from the top but Howard keeps moving.
Howard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Loco on the ground.
Howard can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Loco controls the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Hector Loco hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Howard tries for a takedown but Loco sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Howard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Howard dodges the punch combination from Loco.
Loco throws a body punch but Howard moves out of range.
Loco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Howard is fending him off so far but Loco persists. Nope, Howard circles away and we're back to standing.
Howard shoots in but Loco avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Loco closes the distance and pushes Howard back into the cage.

Loco escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
