Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pence Apene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Jontop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugh Jontop will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apene takes one to the side of the head.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Apene is defended easily by Jontop.
Apene fails with a takedown attempt.
Apene takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Apene throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jontop was covering up waiting for the punch and Apene finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Apene has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jontop defend it? Apene steps over the head and cranks it - Jontop is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Apene!
