The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Cage there.
Luke Cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ungowa needs to keep his hands up - Cage had a free shot at his head there.
Jab by Cage.
Ungowa lands with a shot to the body.
A swing and a miss from Ungowa.
Ungowa throws a sloppy head kick and Cage moves out of range easily.
The fighters circling - Cage throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ungowa looks for a takedown but Cage sprawls well.
Ungowa steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cage.
Ungowa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cage sizes up Ungowa with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The fighters circling - Cage throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cage takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Ungowa fails with the takedown.
Cage throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ungowa misses with a takedown attempt - Cage sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Luke Cage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamal Ungowa.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cage throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ungowa sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The crowd cheers as Cage lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ungowa doesn't seem phased though.
Cage throws a body punch but Ungowa moves out of range.
A combination from Cage does no damage.
Cage stuffs the takedown attempt from Ungowa. Ungowa gets slowly back to his feet.
Ungowa moves out of range of the strikes.
Cage throws a series of punches but Ungowa moves out of range.
Ungowa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ungowa on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Cage just misses with a punch to the body.
Cage cracks Ungowa with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Ungowa falls to his knees and Cage doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luke Cage!
