Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alex Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smackmy Bitshup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is state run. Alex Mercer could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Smackmy Bitshup's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alex Mercer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Smackmy Bitshup!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bitshup tries to clinch but Mercer is having none of it.
Smackmy Bitshup seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bitshup tries to clinch there but Mercer circles away.
Bitshup moves into the clinch successfully.
Bitshup controlling the action here for a moment.
Mercer has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Bitshup jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mercer walks away with a smile on his face. Bitshup gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bitshup fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mercer, pushing him back against the cage.
A knee to the head by Bitshup.
It looks like Alex Mercer has been cut.
Bitshup comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Mercer is rocked!
Mercer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mercer wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Oh Mercer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mercer is trying to break free.
Mercer seems to have got his legs back now.
Bitshup scores with a hook to the body.
Mercer is breathing heavily.
Bitshup has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and Mercer goes down! Bitshup pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bitshup wants to stand but Mercer has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Mercer has a closed guard, preventing Bitshup from standing up.
Bitshup really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mercer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Smackmy Bitshup was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bitshup lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Mercer crumples to the floor! Bitshup milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Smackmy Bitshup!
After the big win, Smackmy Bitshup made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Hilo Clothing Co and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
