Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Ottway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eanes McChance!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McChance throws a head kick but Ottway moves out of range.
Ottway tries to clinch up

and McChance counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
McChance controlling the action here for a moment.

McChance breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ottway closes the distance looking to clinch

and McChance counters by clinching up.
McChance stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Ottway manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
McChance is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ottway is trying to control the position but McChance postures up.

Ottway keeping moving, preventing McChance from controlling successfully.
Ottway is trying to keep McChance in close.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McChance fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
McChance tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ottway paws at him with a jab and circles away.

McChance pushes Ottway up against the cage in a clinch.
McChance drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ottway pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ottway keeps the fight on the outside.

McChance shoots in for a double leg but Ottway sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
John Ottway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eanes McChance.
A head kick misses from Ottway.
Ottway swats away the attempt to clinch by McChance.
Ottway keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McChance avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ottway just misses with a punch to the body.
Ottway fails with a takedown attempt.
McChance looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ottway is fending him off so far but McChance persists. Nope, Ottway circles away and we're back to standing.

McChance misses with a few strikes there.
No joy there for Ottway, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ottway drives through with a takedown into McChance's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

McChance bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ottway's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McChance postures up and lands a big shot to Ottway's brow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Eanes McChance will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


McChance shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ottway pinned against the cage. Ottway gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
McChance changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ottway tries to avoid it but McChance manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ottway to the ground. Ottway escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ottway tries to clinch up but McChance circles away and keeps his distance.

McChance bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McChance is putting a hurting on Ottway here, landing some big shots from side control.
McChance works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Ottway misses with a strike from the bottom.

A lull in the action here as McChance stalls from top position.
Ottway manages to get back to half guard.
Ottway is refusing to be controlled, as McChance sits in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Eanes McChance was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Ottway will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

McChance shoots in and gets a takedown into Ottway's guard.

Ottway has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McChance can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ottway is looking to sweep but instead, McChance has passed into half guard.
Ottway works his way to full guard. Good work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McChance advances position into side control!
Ottway regains half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McChance is taking a breather. Ottway says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McChance passes to side control.
McChance scoring with punches and elbows.
McChance is staying tight to Ottway's torso, preventing him from escaping.
McChance's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

McChance is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ottway has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

McChance tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McChance has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

McChance stands up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ottway manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McChance on his heels. He'll look to pass McChance's guard now, I'm sure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eanes McChance showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Ottway displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McChance.
Nice defenses there by McChance.
Ottway throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ottway changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McChance tries to avoid it but Ottway manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McChance to the ground. McChance escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McChance lands with a kick to the temple. Ottway shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

McChance shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ottway's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McChance stands up and waves to Ottway to follow him.

McChance shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McChance showed some decent athleticism there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ottway moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ottway not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McChance passes into half guard.
Eanes McChance has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ottway is trying to get back to full guard.
McChance prevents Ottway from standing back up.
McChance passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ottway!

McChance controlling his opponent.

McChance stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

McChance looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ottway!
Ottway wants to control but McChance is having none of it.
McChance controlling the pace for now.

McChance is in the full mount, landing strikes.

McChance is standing up, even though he is in mount.

McChance manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ottway on his heels. He'll look to pass Ottway's guard now, I'm sure.
McChance seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
McChance passes Ottway's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McChance is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Ground and pound from McChance.
McChance takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
McChance trying to mount his opponent but Ottway defends it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Eanes McChance comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McChance has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
