Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Marks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Milo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Marks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Samuel Milo!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marks takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Milo darts in trying to clinch

and Marks holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Milo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Marks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A jab lands there for Marks.

Marks rushes Milo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Milo's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Marks successfully pulls guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Marks trying to control the position.
Marks on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marks tries to get out of the position.
Milo wants to stand but Marks has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Milo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Marks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Marks pushes Milo off and scrambles back to his feet.

Marks bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Marks is looking to take a break and control but Milo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Marks trying to control the action but Milo is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Milo is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Marks decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Marks drives through and clinches with Milo against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marks stalls.

Marks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Milo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Milo lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marks looking to control.
Milo trying to control the position from guard on top but Marks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Marks is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Marks is looking to advance position but Milo won't allow it.
Marks wants to stand up but Milo is controlling the position.

Milo wants to improve his position but Marks is controlling well.
Marks is trying to control the action in half guard but Milo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Marks trying to mount his opponent but Milo defends it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Still in half guard, Marks seems content to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

James Marks has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Milo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Marks's calf.
A head kick misses from Marks.
Marks is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marks displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Milo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Marks dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Milo throws a lazy right hand but Marks sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Milo tries to sprawl but Marks drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Marks is looking for a kimura but Milo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Marks to get the leverage.
Marks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Marks wants to control but Milo is keeping him busy.

Marks is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Milo as he works his way to full guard.
Marks postures up and lands a big shot to Milo's brow.

Marks trying to control but Milo is working from the bottom.
Milo is trying to hold Marks in close to prevent damage but Marks has managed to pass into half guard.
Milo is trying to get back to full guard.
Milo slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Milo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Marks controls the pace.

Marks trying to control but Milo is working from the bottom.
Marks has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Marks pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Milo is keeping the position for now.
Marks controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up because James Marks just wasn't active enough.

Marks clinches.
Milo tries for a takedown. No joy.
Milo is trying to drag Marks to the mat but Marks just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Milo trying to stall but Marks improves his position.

Marks tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Milo just stands there and leans against the cage.
Milo drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
James Marks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Milo.
Milo is breathing heavily.

Marks jumps guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marks is on top in guard.
Marks slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marks trying to control the position from guard on top but Milo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Milo keeping full guard, as Marks tries to pass.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Marks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Milo wants to stand and escape but Marks is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref stands the fighters back up because James Marks just wasn't active enough.

Marks shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Milo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Marks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Marks dominated that second round.
That's time! Marks's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Milo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marks circles away.
Milo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
James Marks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Marks forces Milo back against the cage and clinches.

Marks jumps into guard, dragging Milo to the mat.

Marks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Milo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Marks looking to control.
Marks trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Marks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Milo passes Marks's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Milo missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Milo prevents Marks from improving his position.
Milo looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Milo wants to stand up but Marks has a hold of him and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marks tries to roll over but Milo keeps him under control.
Marks trying to control from the bottom.
Milo missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Marks is controlling Milo's trapped leg to prevent Milo from advancing to side control.
Milo tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Marks is looking to control Milo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Marks avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. James Marks wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Marks changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Milo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Milo is not content to let Marks control the position.

Marks swings around for an armbar but Milo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Marks's guard.
Marks keeping moving, preventing Milo from controlling successfully.

Marks looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Milo passes into half guard.
Marks is refusing to be controlled, as Milo sits in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Milo stands up out of the half guard.
Milo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Marks defends it nicely.
James Marks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Milo.
Milo scores with a leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Milo is looking to clinch but Marks is avoiding it.

James Marks showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Marks has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
