The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Berry blocks the low kick.

That kick from Katipunan tenderised Berry's leg. Berry is trying to keep his angry face on.

Berry shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Berry was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Katipunan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Berry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Katipunan is on top in guard.

Katipunan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Berry is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Berry has escaped and now he's on top!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Berry uses his free foot to push down on Katipunan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Katipunan.

Berry is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Katipunan is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Katipunan flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Berry anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Katipunan and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Berry slips an arm under Katipunan chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Berry has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Berry is squeezing on Katipunan like an anaconda would it's prey. Katipunan fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
