Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Numbnuts!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sydal delivers a nice body kick.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sydal lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Numbnuts has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Numbnuts and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Sydal distracts Numbnuts with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sydal controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Numbnuts wants to stand and escape but Sydal is having none of it.
Numbnuts bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sydal's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Numbnuts passes to full mount!
Sydal is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Numbnuts dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sydal shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sydal was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sydal is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Numbnuts can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Johnny Numbnuts has got the better of the ground game so far.
Still in half guard, Sydal seems content to control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sydal throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Numbnuts wants to improve his position but Sydal is controlling well.
Sydal is keen to just control but Numbnuts is a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sydal in particular looking to stall.
Sydal's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Sydal wants to take a breather but Numbnuts is having none of it.

Sydal closes the distance and clinches up with Numbnuts, looking for a takedown. Sydal pushes Numbnuts against the cage but Numbnuts circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Numbnuts is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sydal is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

This has been an exciting period of action!

We're going to have a standup here because Jason Sydal wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
A head kick misses from Sydal.
Sydal closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Sydal feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Numbnuts is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sydal rolls with it to try and escape but Numbnuts cranks on the arm and Sydal is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
