Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker comes to the cage accompanied by Tiger Style. Marcus Walker has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brandon Connor!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Connor bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Walker is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Connor is controlling him well.

Connor goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Walker rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Connor's guard! Nice work there by Walker!

Walker has gone for a leg lock! Connor slips out almost immediately though and dives into Walker's guard.

Connor drops back, looking for a kneebar! Walker looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Walker looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Walker!
Connor wants to control but Walker postures up.

Walker is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Connor has escaped the position, nice work there.

Walker swings around for an armbar but Connor sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Walker's guard.

Connor drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Walker manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Connor has Walker in his guard.

Walker has gone for a leg lock! Connor slips out almost immediately though and dives into Walker's guard.

Connor is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Walker is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Walker has escaped and now he's on top!

Walker tries to stand but Connor is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Connor holds on and takes a little breather.

Walker gets to his feet - Connor follows without any prompting.

Connor is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Walker decides to stand up.
Walker connects with an inside leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Connor looking to score a takedown here. Walker is defending well but Connor drives through and ends up in Walker's guard.

Walker pushes Connor off and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Connor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Connor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Walker to his feet.

Connor is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Walker's half guard.
Connor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Walker wants to get back to his feet.

Connor is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Walker is just riding it out for now. Connor eventually gives up the hold.

Connor is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Walker defends it well.
Connor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Walker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Connor is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Walker doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Connor.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Brandon Connor is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Connor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
