Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lobster Moonbeam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moonbeam's entrance music is white rabbit by jefferson airplane. A fine choice. Thompson has chosen Fear of the dark as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lobster Moonbeam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Thompson! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moonbeam shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Moonbeam showed some decent athleticism there. Thompson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Moonbeam is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Thompson is looking to get back to is feet but Moonbeam passes into side control.
Moonbeam tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Moonbeam has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Thompson is trying to get back to half guard. Thompson is not content to let Moonbeam control the position. Thompson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's one minute gone in the round. Moonbeam is looking to improve his position.
Thompson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Thompson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Moonbeam defends it well. Thompson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moonbeam keeps working.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moonbeam. Moonbeam is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Thompson rushes Moonbeam and presses him up against the cage. Thompson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Moonbeam blocks it with crossed arms. Moonbeam tries to pull guard but Thompson holds him up against the cage and eventually Moonbeam drops back down to his feet.
Moonbeam tries for a takedown but Thompson manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lobster Moonbeam. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thompson stalling against the cage.
Thompson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Moonbeam has him pressed against the cage. Moonbeam has Thompson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Thompson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Moonbeam jumps guard and drags Thompson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Thompson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Moonbeam is proving hard to escape from. Thompson wants to pass the guard but Moonbeam is keeping the position. Moonbeam avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thompson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Thompson wants to stand but Moonbeam is controlling his arm. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moonbeam sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Moonbeam trying to control but Thompson postures up.
Moonbeam controlling the position well. Moonbeam wants to get back to full guard. Thompson is thwarting Moonbeam's attempts to control the position. Thompson wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Thompson lands strikes from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moonbeam has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Thompson is working away from the top position though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Thompson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Thompson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Moonbeam is proving hard to escape from. Moonbeam pushes a forearm under Thompson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Thompson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
