Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hector DuMaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Puffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DuMaine comes to the cage accompanied by Trapt-Headstrong. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hector DuMaine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Puffer!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Puffer blocks the leg kick.
An inside leg kick from DuMaine misses.
Puffer pivots, looking for a leg kick but DuMaine is out of range and Puffer settles back down.
Puffer connects with an inside leg kick.
Puffer throws a sloppy head kick

and DuMaine counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Puffer!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Puffer keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
DuMaine sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
DuMaine looking to finish with strikes here!
DuMaine looking to land elbow strikes but Puffer uses the position to regain half guard.

Puffer clinches up with DuMaine and pushes him back against the cage.
DuMaine tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Puffer avoids it.

Puffer doesn't manage to clinch there - DuMaine circles away.
Puffer throws a sloppy head kick and DuMaine moves out of range easily.

DuMaine shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Puffer sprawls well. Puffer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. DuMaine gets slowly back to his feet.
Puffer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but DuMaine paws at him with a jab and circles away.
DuMaine with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

DuMaine avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Puffer checks a leg kick.

Puffer manages to break the clinch.
Puffer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
DuMaine misses with a low kick as Puffer jumps back.
Puffer moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Puffer lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Puffer lands with a slapping head kick.

DuMaine circles away from the clinch attempt.
Puffer tries to clinch but DuMaine moves away

so DuMaine counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Puffer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Puffer has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
DuMaine has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
DuMaine throws a big elbow that misses.
Puffer working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from DuMaine.
DuMaine trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Puffer seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

DuMaine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Puffer throws a chopping leg kick but DuMaine manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Puffer does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Puffer moves in looking to clinch but DuMaine pushes him off.
Puffer lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Puffer fakes a jab and throws a low kick but DuMaine checks it well.

DuMaine changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Puffer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Puffer manages to work his way to half guard, despite DuMaine's best efforts.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hector DuMaine will probably get the nod.

I would just about give that final round to Brian Puffer.
I think Puffer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
