Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emerson Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cain comes to the cage accompanied by I Love this Road (Emerson Drive). Brooks has chosen (Matallica) Ride the lightning as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Cain manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cain scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Brooks tries to clinch up.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Brooks drops his hands momentarily and Cain takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Cain keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brooks looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brooks is looking to clinch but Cain is avoiding it.
Brooks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cain shoots in and drives through. Brooks sprawls well.
Brooks tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cain swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Brooks moves in looking to clinch but Cain pushes him off.
Brooks defending well as Cain loads up on a big left hand.
Brooks shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Brooks wants to clinch up but Cain keeps it at a distance.
Cain throws a big shot that misses.
Cain fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cain scores with a nice right hand.
Cain missing with a left hand there. Brooks was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cain shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emerson Cain. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cain misses with a hook. Brooks ducked under it nicely.

Brooks tries to clinch but Cain is having none of it.

Cain uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brooks.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brooks looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brooks's waist but Brooks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cain off to one side.
Brooks tries to clinch up but Cain circles away and keeps his distance.
Cain tries to keep at a distance but Brooks has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cain drags the fight down to the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Brooks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cain swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brooks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brooks thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Brooks throwing strikes but missing.
Brooks loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brooks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Cain is looking for a triangle but Brooks pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brooks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brooks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Brooks is sitting in close to Cain's body. Cain has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Brooks is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Brooks is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Cain.
