Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Saunders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Basileo Gallegos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saunders comes to the cage accompanied by Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff. Gallegos is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Cryin' Like A Bitch!! . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saunders slaps away a takedown attempt from Gallegos, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Saunders throws a series of punches but Gallegos moves out of range.
Saunders tests Gallegos's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Saunders misses with a two punch combination.
Saunders lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gallegos at a distance.

Gallegos sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Gallegos is working an open guard so Saunders takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Saunders throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Gallegos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Saunders throws out the jab.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gallegos is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Saunders is wriggling around trying to escape.

Saunders wants to control but Gallegos is having none of it.
Saunders reaches up to try and control the position but Gallegos seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Saunders rolls and tries to escape and now Gallegos has his back!

Gallegos jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Saunders is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Saunders and Gallegos has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gallegos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Saunders manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gallegos has Saunders in his guard.

Gallegos has his foot on Saunders's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Saunders works his way back into a safe position though.

Gallegos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Saunders gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Saunders got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gallegos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Saunders has managed to get both his arms back between Gallegos's legs - danger averted.

Gallegos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Saunders doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Saunders manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gallegos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gallegos will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Saunders.
I think Saunders has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
