Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Koontz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Orndorf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koontz comes to the cage accompanied by DJ Khaled-Im so hood remix. Orndorf is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bodies - Drowning Pool. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Koontz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Orndorf! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Orndorf avoids the body shot from Koontz.
Orndorf looks to land a combination but Koontz avoids it well. Koontz throws a quick inside leg kick. Orndorf misses with a double jab.
Koontz feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Orndorf's calf. A left lands for Orndorf. Orndorf lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Koontz at a distance.
Koontz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Orndorf swats him away and circles back towards the center. Some bone on bone action there as Orndorf checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Koontz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Orndorf. That did some damage! Orndorf blocks a head kick by Koontz.

Orndorf throws a nice looking combination but Koontz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Orndorf checks the leg kick. Koontz fails in his attempt to clinch. Orndorf tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Koontz scoring well with a low kick there.

Koontz tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Orndorf counters with a two punch combo. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Koontz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Orndorf, pushing him back against the cage. Koontz is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Koontz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Orndorf manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Orndorf's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Orndorf throws a hook but Koontz blocks it. Koontz misses with a head kick.
Orndorf throws a right hand that Koontz ducks under and follows up with a left that Koontz also avoids with ease. Jason Koontz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A good leg kick by Koontz. Koontz feints and then cracks Orndorf's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Orndorf down. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Koontz attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Orndorf throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Koontz. Orndorf is breathing heavily. Good exchange - Orndorf coming out on top.
