Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yukinari Tamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicanor Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nicanor Reyes has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Yukinari Tamura's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yukinari Tamura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nicanor Reyes! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tamura fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Reyes sprawls well initially but Tamura persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tamura stalling away here and it's allowed Reyes to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Tamura wants to pass the guard but Reyes is keeping the position. Reyes throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Tamura throws a big right hand that misses. Tamura wanted to stand there but Reyes had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tamura is pushing down on Reyes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Reyes is fighting to maintain full guard but Tamura has managed to sneak the leg through. Tamura is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Reyes sees it coming and defends easily. Reyes looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Reyes is trying to maintain the position but Tamura is very close to passing his half guard. Reyes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tamura pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tamura not doing much here.
Tamura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reyes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Reyes throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Tamura throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Tamura controlling the action here. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Yukinari Tamura wasn't doing enough on the ground. Reyes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tamura looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tamura is working hard here to advance position. Tamura not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reyes wants to stand but Tamura has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Tamura working a defensive guard here.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Yukinari Tamura. Reyes darts in trying to clinch and Tamura counters with a single leg into guard. Reyes didn't expect that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reyes working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Tamura has passed into half guard!
Tamura performing his best blanket impression for a moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tamura is working for an americana but Reyes has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Tamura was thinking about the submission. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yukinari Tamura dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Tamura throws a sloppy head kick and Reyes moves out of range easily. Yukinari Tamura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tamura drives through and clinches with Reyes against the cage.
Reyes is trying to pull guard but Tamura has him pressed against the cage. Reyes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tamura smiles and moves away.
Oooooh!!! Reyes has knocked Tamura down with a huge combo! Reyes steps away and waves a wobbly Tamura back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Tamura is rocked!
It looks like Yukinari Tamura has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reyes shoots in for a takedown. SLAM! Brutal! Tamura is out cold and this one is all over!
