Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Ragnaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gunn comes to the cage accompanied by Audioslave - Exploder. Ragnaar has chosen Mustasch - Alpha Male as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Gunn! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Erik Ragnaar! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ragnaar tries to keep at a distance but Gunn has taken the fight into the clinch. Gunn is trying to maintain a safe position but Ragnaar gets an underhook and turns Gunn into the cage. A bit of stalling here from Gunn.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Gunn as Ragnaar tries to tie him up. Gunn crunches a lovely knee into Ragnaar's ribcage. Ragnaar lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gunn backwards. Ragnaar tries to work over Gunn's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Ragnaar tries to land knees in the clinch but Gunn avoids the damage to the body. Gunn tries a knee to the head but Ragnaar blocks it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gunn lands a nice uppercut.
It looks like Erik Ragnaar has been cut. Gunn can't find room to land a body shot as Ragnaar controls the action.

Ragnaar connects with the punch. Gunn throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ragnaar slips under a jab from Gunn. Gunn clinches. Gunn dodges an elbow strike from Ragnaar.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunn lands an uppercut. Gunn is trying to break free. Gunn looks to throw an elbow but misses. Gunn misses with a knee strike.

Gunn makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Gunn crunches a lovely knee into Ragnaar's ribcage. Ragnaar looks gassed! Ragnaar lands a knee to the body.

Ragnaar closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Gunn throws a leg kick which misses Ragnaar's front leg but catches the back leg as Ragnaar tries to avoid it. Gunn pushes Ragnaar up against the cage in a clinch. Ragnaar tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gunn avoids it. Gunn with a knee to the head.
That has opened up Erik Ragnaar's cut even more. Gunn throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Gunn manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunn clinches up against the cage. Gunn has Ragnaar pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Ragnaar is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Gunn - that's hurt Ragnaar badly! Oh, another knee lands and Ragnaar is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Ragnaar doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Charles Gunn! Charles Gunn retains his heavyweight title! After the big win, Charles Gunn made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Hell's Balls Recovery (160) and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
