Sakalas has chosen Deliver Me as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jonas Sakalas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonas Sakalas!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Wilson.
Wilson lands with a hook. Sakalas tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Wilson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Sakalas scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sakalas lands a few punches from side control.
Wilson is looking to regain half guard here but Sakalas keeps moving and retains side control.
Wilson dodges the ground and pound from Sakalas.
Sakalas should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Sakalas tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Sakalas creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Wilson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Sakalas in side control, throwing shots but Wilson defends.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Wilson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Wilson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sakalas on the ground.

Sakalas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sakalas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sakalas postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Wilson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The ground and pound from Sakalas seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Sakalas tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Sakalas cracks Wilson with a big right hand but Wilson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Wilson takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Sakalas has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Wilson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sakalas yanks on the arm and Wilson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sakalas.
