Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Pikkarainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lemmy Krusic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pikkarainen comes to the cage accompanied by Apocalyptica - Path. Krusic has chosen Lazy Bones - Warrior as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Pekka Pikkarainen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Pekka Pikkarainen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lemmy Krusic!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pikkarainen lands a nice hook to Krusic's body. Krusic takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Krusic uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pikkarainen.
Pikkarainen shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Krusic eats them both and turns towards Pikkarainen to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Pikkarainen lands a nice shot to the body.
Krusic doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Pikkarainen keeps the fight on the outside.

Pikkarainen scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Pikkarainen wants to control but Krusic is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pikkarainen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Krusic can do anything to dispel that myth.
Krusic has Pikkarainen pulled in close to control his posture.

Pikkarainen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Krusic swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pikkarainen is working hard here to advance position.

Krusic has control of Pikkarainen's left arm, preventing Pikkarainen from doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Pekka Pikkarainen.

Pikkarainen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pikkarainen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Krusic is squirming around, avoiding Pikkarainen's attempts to control the action.
Krusic is looking to improve his position but Pikkarainen isn't that keen on the idea.
Pikkarainen is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Krusic can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Krusic is in a horrible position here. Pikkarainen smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Krusic is in all sorts of trouble here.
Pikkarainen cracks Krusic with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Krusic keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Pikkarainen looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Pikkarainen scoring with strikes but Krusic is staying in there.
Pikkarainen trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Pikkarainen is landing with some decent strikes but Krusic is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Krusic is rocked!
Pikkarainen postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Krusic badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Pikkarainen around the waist but Pikkarainen pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Pikkarainen is the winner by TKO! Pikkarainen jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pekka Pikkarainen!
