Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Gillis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - The Unforgiven II . Gillis has chosen I Don't Feel Like Dancing - Scissor Sisters as his entrance music. Lucas Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Lucas Silva ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamie Gillis! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.
Silva forces Gillis back against the cage and clinches. Silva trying to stall but Gillis improves his position.
Silva misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Gillis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gillis misses with a hook. Silva keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gillis. Silva jabbing away but nothing is landing. A big right from Silva misses. Silva uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gillis. Gillis lands a jab to Silva 's midsection. Silva keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gillis. Silva wants to clinch up but Gillis keeps it at a distance. Gillis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva .
Gillis on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Gillis throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily. Silva throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Gillis closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silva takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A big right from Silva misses. Some bone on bone action there as Gillis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Gillis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Silva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gillis was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva . Silva keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gillis. Silva thows a body shot but no joy. Silva tries to land a front kick but Gillis steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Silva slips under a jab. Gillis lands a really nice looking cross but Silva seems unphased.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but Gillis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Silva goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Silva tries a low kick but Gillis avoids it. Silva blocks a jab. A telegraphed right hand from Gillis misses the target. Silva looks to land a right hand but Gillis moved out of range. Good exchange - Gillis coming out on top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gillis swings for the body but Silva moves out of range.
Gillis closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gillis lands in his opponent's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gillis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gillis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gillis postures up in Silva 's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it. Gillis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva pulls Gillis in to control the position. Gillis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gillis with a flurry of punches that miss. Gillis keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Silva 's head. Gillis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Silva has his foot on Gillis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gillis is on top in guard.
