Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson throws a looping overhand right but Tavarez ducks down to avoid it.
Tavarez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Tavarez struggles to land a body shot inside as Tyson controls his hands.
Tyson is trying to maintain a safe position but Tavarez gets an underhook and turns Tyson into the cage.
Tavarez's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Tyson breaks from the clinch.
Tavarez tries to clinch but Tyson moves out of range.
Tyson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Tavarez.
Tavarez on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Tavarez misses with a wild body shot.
Tavarez is looking to clinch but Tyson is avoiding it.
Tavarez misses with a head kick.
Tyson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tavarez misses with a low kick.
Tavarez just misses with a punch to the body.
Tavarez on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Tavarez is breathing heavily.
Tyson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Both fighters circling a little - Tyson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Tyson drops his shoulder and cracks Tavarez with a huge uppercut! Tavarez goes down! Can Tyson finish him?
It looks like Sol Tavarez has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tyson stays in close to Tavarez's body and controls the position.
Let's hope that Tyson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Tyson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jason Tyson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Tavarez steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Tyson. That one must have hurt.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tyson, as that shot connected.
Tyson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tavarez moves in looking to clinch but Tyson pushes him off.
Tyson steps into range and cracks Tavarez with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Tavarez flops backwards and Tyson dives into his guard looking to finish!
Tavarez is rocked!
Tyson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tavarez is keeping the position for now.
Oh Tavarez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tavarez seems to have got his legs back now.
Tyson trying to control but Tavarez is working from the bottom.
Tyson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Tyson tries to free his leg and advance position but Tavarez is retaining full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jason Tyson was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Tavarez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tyson was well out of range. Poor timing from Tavarez.
Tyson misses the jab.
Tavarez lands with an uppercut that bounces Tyson off the cage and back into range.
Tyson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Tavarez scores with a punch to the head.
A solid body kick from Tyson.
A lazy left from Tyson finds it's target.
Tyson avoids the head kick by Tavarez.
Tyson throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Tyson lands with a nice combination. Tavarez backs away looking to recover.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tyson ducks under a wild hook from Tavarez.
Tyson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Tyson Rushes Tavarez and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Tavarez is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Tyson Piles on the pressure and Tavarez crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Jason Tyson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
