The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Embo tries for a takedown but Rivera sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Embo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rivera to the ground. Embo is now in Rivera's guard.

Embo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rivera throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Rivera is trying to keep Embo in close.

Embo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Embo is pushing down on Rivera's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rivera is fighting to maintain full guard but Embo has managed to sneak the leg through.

Embo is trying to work for a kimura but Rivera is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Embo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rivera sees it coming and defends easily.
Embo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Rivera is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Embo in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Rivera tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Embo!
