Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Kazansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazansky comes to the cage accompanied by Danger Zone. Simpson has chosen The Fire by The Roots as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Kazansky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Simpson! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazansky gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Simpson to score an easy takedown into full guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Simpson pushes down on Kazansky's leg and manages to get into half guard. Simpson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kazansky is looking to escape. Simpson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Simpson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kazansky's head. Kazansky is defending against the submission attempts here by Simpson.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kazansky trying to control here.
Simpson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Simpson is trying to control. Kazansky wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Simpson prevents Kazansky from standing back up.
Simpson wants to pass the guard but Kazansky is defending well. Kazansky tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kazansky trying to control here.
Simpson is trying to control the action in half guard but Kazansky is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kazansky works his way to full guard. Good work. Simpson wants to control from the top but Kazansky keeps moving. Simpson content to stall in guard here. Kazansky working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Simpson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Simpson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Simpson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazansky working for a triangle but Simpson defends it easily.
Simpson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Simpson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kazansky swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kazansky keeping moving, preventing Simpson from controlling successfully. Simpson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kazansky preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Simpson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kazansky has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Simpson has managed to get both his arms back between Kazansky's legs - danger averted. Simpson stands up over Kazansky, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kazansky had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Simpson defends it easily. Simpson cracks Kazansky with a solid left hand. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Simpson tries to free his leg and advance position but Kazansky is retaining full guard. Kazansky trying to strike off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Simpson dominated that round. That's time! Kazansky's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Simpson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kazansky did well to prevent Simpson getting side control. Kazansky is trying to get back to full guard. Kazansky won't allow Simpson to pass to mount. Kazansky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kazansky looking for submissions off his back. Simpson working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Kazansky's thigh. Kazansky counters though and makes it back to full guard. Simpson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Simpson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Simpson advances nicely into full mount. Kazansky tries to get back to half guard but can't. Simpson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Simpson looking to ground and pound but Kazansky is blocking nicely. Simpson unloads with some shots from mount but Kazansky bucks and avoids them well.
Simpson punching from mount but Kazansky doing a good job of avoiding damage. Kazansky is bucking up trying to escape but Simpson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Simpson wants to control the pace but Kazansky is squirming around nicely. Poor strikes thrown by Simpson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Simpson tries to control but Kazansky wriggling away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kazansky is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Simpson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Simpson avoids the attempt from Kazansky to control. Simpson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kazansky is looking to escape. Kazansky is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Simpson misses with a head shot. Simpson postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Kazansky in real trouble here! The ref calls for Kazansky to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Simpson! During a confident post fight interview, Steve Simpson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
