Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Jansus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shane Jansus has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jon Jones's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shane Jansus! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Shane Jansus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jansus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jansus won't be happy with that. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. You can see the frustration on Jansus's face as Jones controls the position. Jones working the head with strikes. Jones wants to control but Jansus is keeping him busy. Jansus is being controlled here. Jones seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jansus for as long as he can get away with. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones is putting a hurting on Jansus here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jansus manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Nice strikes from Jones there. Jones seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Jansus looking for submissions off his back. Jones has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jansus is looking to escape. Jones controlling the position easily from mount. Jansus tries to hold on but Jones postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jansus is trying to escape the mount.
Jansus is trying to reverse the position but instead Jones has taken his back - oops! Jones controlling the position well here. Jansus rolled but Jones kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jansus breaks Jones's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Jansus is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top! Jones with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones pushing down on Jansus's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jansus is not content to let Jones control the position. Jansus is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jansus avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jansus is trying to get back to full guard. Jansus pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Jones dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jansus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Jansus persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing. Jones tries to clinch but Jansus is having none of it. Jansus throws a head kick that misses. Jones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Jansus wants to get back to his feet. Jones keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Jansus is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jones uses his free foot to push down on Jansus's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jansus. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jansus is just holding on here. Jones manages to take his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Jansus is defending well but eventually Jones manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Jansus has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jon Jones!
