Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Francesco Mercuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Raters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raters has chosen 15 Minutes as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raters throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mercuri was covering up waiting for the punch and Raters finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Raters is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mercuri escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Raters gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mercuri has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Raters is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mercuri.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mercuri manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Mercuri moves into full guard.
Raters is posturing up here but Mercuri has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Raters tries to roll out but it's too tight and Raters has to tap! Slick submission there by Mercuri!
